Suburb Profile: The Vines

News |

The Vines is a prestigious suburb where houses line a championship golf course and picture-perfect views of the Darling Scarp can be enjoyed from every corner.

Golf enthusiasts helped shape exclusive suburb

Located in the City of Swan in the Swan Valley and about 35km from the Perth CBD, The Vines is a small suburb with a big personality.

First developed around the world-class The Vines Resort and Country Club in the late 1980s – and surrounded by native bush – this picturesque suburb is popular with established families or professionals building their second or third home as well as retirees.

It was named for the wine growing activities which remain popular in the area. The Vines has also become synonymous with golf in Perth, thanks to the resort’s involvement with the Heineken Classic and Johnny Walker Classic golf tournaments during the 2000s.

The golf course itself was developed by a Japanese consortium keen to take advantage of the stunning natural setting, views of the Darling Scarp and undulating ground.

Move on up to The Vines

With a median house price of $625,000 and solid rental yields, many residents “move up” from neighbouring suburbs.

It is a short drive to Ellenbrook and Aveley, where shopping facilities, dining outlets, retailers and other services can be found in abundance.

Popular Whiteman Park with its range of outdoor activities, museums and cafes is also minutes away and all the food, beer and wine delights of the Swan Valley are just next door. Meanwhile, the economic and shopping hub of Midland is accessible by car within 20 minutes.

Education options galore

For those with school aged children, the education choices around The Vines will excite. Nearby private and independent schools include St Helena’s Primary School, Swan Valley Anglican, Ellenbrook Christian College, Holy Cross Catholic School and Swan Valley Anglican. A short drive away in Middle Swan are St Brigid’s Catholic School and Swan Christian College while Guildford Grammar is a pleasant drive away.

There are also several public schools to consider including Arbor Grove Primary School, Malvern Springs Primary School, Aveley Primary School, Ellenbrook Primary School, Coolamon Primary School, Upper Swan Primary School and Ellenbrook Secondary College.

A range of options for your new home at The Vines

LWP Property Group has three communities within The Vines: The Reserve, Woburn Park and Equis Lake.

All homes within The Reserve at The Vines, can easily access the restaurants, bars and two 18-hole championship courses at The Vines Resort Country Club. Both courses are open every day of the year.

Designed with seclusion and its stunning bush setting in mind, The Reserve is a community where lots range in size from 450sqm to 842sqm and are priced from $325,000, and residents enjoy a retreat lifestyle.

Sales Manager, Mr Tony McEntee, said time spent outdoors was encouraged, especially given that The Reserve overlooked the 7th green and 8th tee on The Vines 'Ellenbrook Course'.

“The views to the Darling Scarp are also spectacular and often take visitors by surprise,” he said.

Meanwhile Woburn Park is another private estate within The Vines and is the perfect place for families. With generous sized lots, beautiful parks and great schools on your doorstep, it is a great place to raise your children.

Homesites are sized from 366sqm to 862sqm and priced from $239,000 to $399,000.

Equis Lake is the third of our communities at The Vines.  Exclusive, yet affordable, Equis Lake has homesites ranging in size from 300sqm to 700sqm and priced from just $199,000.

The perfect entry level into this beautiful suburb, Equis Lake is popular with first home buyers and ‘move up’ buyers from nearby suburbs.

Tony McEntee said LWP had blocks to suit all types of buyers at The Vines – whether it was downsizers looking for a perfect home alongside the golf course, families looking for a big block or first home buyers looking to get into a great suburb at a reasonable price.
